Little Barn

This cottage is an absolute gem, with stunning views all round. We loved it.It’s a ten minute walk to Ambleside, an authentic town which provides the usual outlets for a week’s holiday . It’s a truly magical location and I challenge anyone not to fall in love with it. If you’re looking for beauty and tranquility it’s the perfect base to explore the surrounding area.

Little Barn is a darling place. I could live there it is so charming. The views are stunning and trail access to one of my favorite local hikes was literally on the front doorstep.

We had a loverly short break Positive: Clever use of space, well equipped, great location. Great walking from the door.

Positive: Excellent location and views.

Positive: Beautiful location for walks right outside the door! Lovely little accommodation, very cosy and clean! Negative: Wasn't very happy having to pay an extra £50 for our dog after making the booking. This should be stated in the booking before hand. It did say charges may apply for a dog but never had to pay that much before! (Without a nod to the fact you have paid a fee for doggy, like treats or welcome doggy package) This was after putting down a £400 hold on a credit card for insurance purposes.. the £50 for a dog seemed unnecessary. We checked in on time at 4pm.. but had you wanted an earlier check in you would have to pay for example £60 from 2pm.. everything has an additional fee with this place!
